Zombies Descended on Leicester City Council’s Offices.

Alright, so I know I’m not *technically* a contributor yet, but I just HAD to share this. There was a zombie attack on Leicester… for realz. Check it out!

‘Zombies’ descended on a city centre after its council was forced to admit it was unprepared for invasion by the living dead.

Up to 200 people in make-up and torn clothing staged a ‘mass shamble’ for half a mile through the streets of Leicester, to the bemusement of Saturday shoppers.

The groaning mob pressed their blood-stained faces against the windows of Leicester City Council’s offices to make their political point – their city has no plan to counter such an event.

“Apocalypse Salad” Movie Shoot

On Saturday I was honored to be able to attend the movie shoot for a zombie apocalypse film entitled “Apocalypse Salad”. A short film directed by Ryan Pierson of Friar’s Lantern Entertainment (At Best Derivative, Of Blood & Gin) that takes the viewers on a whirlwind ride of absolute craziness before dumping them into the…Apocalypse Salad. My job was to bring as many zombies to the location so to those of you who attended… Thank You! I met a ton of great zombie fans and even better zombies. I have to say though that it was very strange to be around that many zombies knowing I couldn’t brain any of them. I also got to meet PJMomma from the incredibly awesome blog The Hostages. You can see a picture of PJ and my lovely face here.

Video: The Walking Dead Special Effects

This is a video sent to DGB from Viv Lee showing some of the special effects used on the TV series, “The Walking Dead” on AMC. This is one of Don’t Get Bit’s favorite shows on TV in the last few years. It follows the story of a group of survivors after the Zombie Apocalypse lead by Officer Rick Grimes. It is based on the comic graphic novel “The Walking Dead” from Image Comics. Season 1 can be watched on Netflix. A full plot summary can be found below the fold.

Zombies Needed For Film In Mesa AZ Tomorrow! UPDATE!

In Mesa Arizona he is having a Zombie Costume Contest and Movie Shoot. All ages welcome, KIDS TOO and EVERYONE who shows up dressed as a zombie will be in the movie. The 10 best costumes win a bigger role in the movie and VIP tickets to the Premier.

Judgement Day? Nah! Just A Trial Run For Oct. 21.

So here’s an interview with Harld Camping who promised us a Zombie Apocalypse and  that the world was going to end this last Saturday. Turns out it was just the day God interviewed all of our souls and the REAL day of the Armageddon is October 21st. He spoke to the media at the Oakland headquarters of his Family Radio International, which spent millions of dollars, some of it from donations made by followers, on more than 5,000 billboards and 20 RVs plastered with the Judgment Day message.

It was not the first time Camping was forced to explain when his prediction didn’t come to pass. The 89-year-old retired civil engineer also prophesied the Apocalypse would come in 1994, but said later that didn’t happen then because of a mathematical error.

Through chatting with a friend over what he acknowledged was a very difficult weekend, it dawned on him that instead of the biblical Rapture in which the faithful would be swept up to the heavens, May 21 had instead been a “spiritual” Judgment Day, which places the entire world under Christ’s judgment, he said.

The globe will be completely destroyed in five months, he said, when the apocalypse comes. But because God’s judgment and salvation were completed on Saturday, there’s no point in continuing to warn people about it, so his network will now just play Christian music and programs until the final end on Oct. 21…
