Zombie Apocalypse Weapons Video: Never Unarmed from Cold Steel

Filmed over 2 1/2 years, Never Unarmed features Lynn C. Thompson with the gloves off as he discusses the pros and cons of Air guns, .22 handguns, .22 rifles, mini revolvers, pocket pistols, service revolvers, service pistols, big bore handguns, single shot handguns, single shot rifles, double rifles, bolt action rifles, pump action rifles, lever action rifles, semi auto rifles, single and double shotguns, pump action shotguns, and semi automatic shotguns.  Never Unarmed is a mixture of show + tell and tactical training insights, with thought provoking demonstrations regarding the use of cover, concealment, improvised fighting positions, home-made shields and much much more. At times the presentation can become quite graphic as Lynn teaches how to defend yourself against dangerous animals as well as how to neutralize violent human adversaries.

Absolutely chock full of non stop action, graphic demonstrations, and exciting feats of speed, accuracy, and fire power, Never Unarmed is guaranteed to change the way you look at and think about firearms forever.

Zombie Apocalypse Weapon Pron: Bacon Rocket Launcher

In the Zombie Apocalypse food will be in short supply so the idea of a  BA-Zooka, which is a rocket launcher made out of bacon, capable of firing a sausage at either a marauder or a zombie, would seem… wasteful. However since it is bacon… we want it for our zombie arsenal.

Measuring 36-inches long and made up of a whopping 15 pounds of bacon, this pinnacle of edible weaponry was created in honor of Bacon Day, a holiday we here at Don’t Get Bit celebrate religiously. Oh to have had this on the Weekend…

Weapon Pron: Kel-Tec’s New Shotgun… The KSG

Kel Tek make it’s first foray into the Shotgun market and man do the really get their foot in the door. This Shotgun feature a dual feed with the ability to switch between them allowing the shooter to load multiple types of ammo.

The KSG is our first entry into the shotgun market.  The size, shape and design are similar to the currently available Kel-Tec RFB rifle, but the KSG ejects downward, instead of forward.  The KSG weighs 6.9lbs and is as compact as legally possible with a 26.1″ overall length and an 18.5″ cylinder bore barrel.  Even with this compact size, the internal dual tube magazines hold an impressive 14 rounds of 12 gage 2-3/4″ rounds (7 per tube).  The simple and reliable pump action feeds from either the left or right tube.  The feed side is manually selected by a lever located behind the trigger guard.  The lever can be positioned in the center detent in order to easily clear the chamber without feeding another round from either magazine.  A cross bolt style safety blocks the sear, and the pump release lever is located in front of the trigger guard.

Weapon Pron… The Backup Bedside Gun Rack!

Ok.. this is such a great idea. Let’s say that the Zombie Apocalypse comes in the middle of the night. You’re sleeping as snug as a tick on a hound-dog’s ass. Zombies break into your room and are coming for you and your sexy but slightly crazy zombie survivalist girlfriend. What do you do?

Take the gun out of your closet, unlock the trigger lock, load it? That will take waaaaaay too long. You’ll be your girlfriend’s zombie snack before you get one shot off. Well worry no-more. I present to you… The Backup Bedside Gun Rack!

The New Heat: Kahr Model CW4043

Here’s some weapon pron for all of you Survivors out there. I just picked up a KAHR CW4043. It’s a .40 caliber semi-auto with a barrel length of 3.6 inches, a capacity of six plus one and an overall length of 6.1 inches, a Polymer Grip, and a Stainless Slide. It weighs in at an astounding 23.7oz loaded! I’ll be firing American Eagle .40 S&W Federal FMJ 155 Grain rounds. Going out shooting tomorrow and will give it a full review in this post tomorrow night. This is a great carry and conceal weapon and I look forward to carrying it on a daily basis and using it as a weapon in the Zombie Apocalypse! Remember to use gun safety and get out there and practice, practice practice! Here’s a video review from YouTube.

Headshots… Not as easy as you think.

When the Zombie Apocalypse happens, and it will, will you be a Survivor or a snack? That may all depend on whether or not you can get the Head-shots when you have to. “But Jason… When I play Left 4 Dead I always get the head-shot!”. Well it turns out it’s not as easy as you think. Rooster Teeth’s great Immersion Video series takes us into the real world head-shot situation and puts the whole thing to the test. Plus they prove my theory, handguns can suck it… my Mossberg 500 will spill more zombie brain matter.

All of us here at “Don’t Get Bit” practice firearm safety and proficiency every weekend and we all carry a firearm on a daily basis. Practice makes perfect so get your butt to the range, put some lead down-range and practice… practice… practice. If you don’t know about the firearm regulations in your area here’s a great link to the NRA website breaking it down state to state.
